Garcia Gets Nod To Serve on Special Session Committee on Public Health and Developmental Services

(SACRAMENTO, CA.) –State Assembly Speaker Toni G. Atkins appointed Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) to serve on the Special Session Committee on Public Health and Developmental Services today.

“I’m humbled that Speaker Atkins would ask me to join in on the efforts to improving California’s public health and the developmentally disabled community. More must be done to increase developmentally disabled awareness and expand resources,” said Assemblymember Garcia. “We must also address the crisis affecting our public health sector—when it comes to medical reimbursements our state is at the bottom when compared to the other 49 states!”
