(Sacramento, CA) — Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella), who participated in Governor Newsom’s AB 112 signing ceremony, has released the following statement:
“We jumped in to support the Distressed Hospital Loan Program to ensure an eligible source of relief for our district’s urgent healthcare concerns. This legislation would open up $150 million in critical loan resources to prevent the closures of financially distressed hospitals, like those in our district struggling to keep their doors open. We are grateful for this new avenue of support as we remain focused on our other legislative efforts underway to protect our region’s healthcare future.”
