The California community college system plays a vital role in preparing individuals for jobs and strengthening our economy. However, more needs to be done to ensure that California’s workforce is prepared to meet the demand of regional, high-growth industry sectors. The Board of Governors has commissioned a task force to develop a set of ideas about how the system can play a stronger role in closing the skills gap and meeting the needs of employers.
