Help Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia Fill A Backpack!
I am pleased to partner with the Coachella Valley Housing Coalition to host a Community Backpack/School Supplies Drive, honoring the legacy of César E. Chávez.
Donations will benefit students in the Coachella Valley Housing Coalition’s after-school tutoring program. A majority of these students are from migrant farm working families.
These supplies will help provide students with the tools needed to achieve academic success while alleviating the burden of families struggling to provide for their children’s back to school needs.
Donations of the following items will be graciously accepted through April 30, 2018:
- 3-ring Binders
- Spiral Notebooks
- Composition Notebooks
- Black or blue Pens
- #2 Pencils
- Colored Pencils
- Pencil Sharpeners
- Pencil Case
- Colored Markers
- Highlighters
