Assemblymember Garcia addresses State Water Board on Salton Sea Health Risks

(SACRAMENTO, CA.) – Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia spoke today at the State Water Resources Control Board’s public workshop regarding the status of the Salton Sea. In his address, Assemblymember Garcia noted the health urgency and stated the following:

“This is an issue of large priority to me because of the public health risks that are before of us if nothing gets done at the Sea--we have a consensus coming from our communities as it relates to the course that we are moving forward. We’re not here to point fingers, we’re here to work together and must come up with a viable plan, that is financially feasible and helps us reach our end goal,” said Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia.
