(SACRAMENTO) – Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia released the following statement regarding Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr.’s Oath of Office and Fourth Inaugural Address:
"The Governor's comments went well beyond an acknowledgement of his historic 4th term," said Eduardo Garcia, chair of the Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy. "He laid forth a vision for the future that resonates with people of the Coachella and Imperial Valleys - including better education for our children, infrastructure improvements to support job creation, and refocusing on a cleaner environmental future. As leaders in renewable energy, the Coachella and Imperial Valleys, I strongly support the Governor’s goal to increase the use of renewable energy to 50%. Increased use of renewable energy is the bedrock of sustainable economic growth.”
