Assemblymember Garcia Invites Businesses Owners to Apply for Job Creation Tax Credits Tomorrow

Business owners can apply for millions in available tax credits

(INDIO, CA) – Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia invites business owners to attend a workshop on the California Competes Tax Credit he is hosting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4, 2015. The workshop is presented by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development.

Small, medium and large businesses are encouraged to attend the workshop and receive instruction on how to apply for this tax credit program available from the State.

The workshop and the program are both free and available to businesses of all sizes.

GO-Biz serves as the state's lead office for economic development and offers a range of services to business owners. The California Competes program was created through AB 93 and SB 90, both adopted in 2013. In addition to the tax credits for job creation, the new program offers sales tax relief on the purchase of qualified research and development equipment and manufacturing equipment. The amount of credits available will increase each year until 2018.
