Legislature Continues Programmatic Review of GO-BIZ
SACRAMENTO - The Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy (JEDE), chaired by Assembly Member Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella), is continuing its programmatic review of the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz).
"Addressing the growing income inequality in our state requires a commitment by state programs to support entrepreneurship, education, and workforce development," said Garcia. "I am looking forward to continuing our dialogue with GO-Biz about how their programs are supporting California's dominant and emerging industries and facilitating local initiatives in economically distressed areas of the state.”

This hearing is one in a series focused not only on GO-Biz, but on better understanding the tools available from the state for expanding economic opportunity for all Californians.
The JEDE is the policy committee in the California State Assembly responsible for reviewing policies and legislation related to small business development, international trade, and other economic development-related issues.
