(PALM SPRINGS) The Desert Health Care District Board of Directors voted unanimously to support AB 2414, a bill that will require the Desert Healthcare District, upon voter approval, to expand its territory to include the Eastern Coachella Valley region.
“It’s exciting to have the Desert Healthcare District formally support AB 2414 that upon voter approval, will allow expansion of the existing Desert Healthcare District to include the entire Coachella Valley,” said Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella). “Their decision clearly demonstrates a strong commitment to ensuring that the entire Coachella Valley is served by their mission to promote good health for the districts residents. This will create greater access and provide the much needed resources to fund programs and services to our residents.”
AB 2414 now advances to the Senate Floor.
