AB 18, California Clean Water, Climate, and Coastal Protection and Outdoor Access For All Act of 2018, authored by the Chair was the sole agenda item.
AB 18 prioritizes communities most in need throughout the state. More than 40% of the funds contained in this measure will be available to disadvantaged communities with 20% specifically set aside for disadvantaged communities.
“This bond aims to address the severe deficit in our state’s parks and recreational infrastructure,” expressed Assemblymember Garcia. “For many Californian youth and families’ access to state and local parks are the only available source for recreational opportunities.”
