Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia Looking to Recognize Local Holocaust Survivor

Accepting Local Holocaust Survivor or Holocaust Remembrance Organization Nominations

(SACRAMENTO, CA)— Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) seeks to honor Holocaust survivors and commemorate their personal stories of perseverance in observance of California Holocaust Memorial Week.

The Assemblymember’s office will be accepting recommendations of Holocaust survivors, children of survivors, World War II liberators, or Holocaust remembrance organizations.  Once selected, these individuals will have opportunity to join other statewide honorees for a Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony at the California, State Capitol.  

“It is important that we preserve and share the life stories of our valiant survivors and courageous World War II liberators for generations to come. I look forward to recognizing an individual or organization from our own community,” said Assemblymember Garcia.
