State Assembly Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony

(Sacramento) – We will never forget. With that as the chorus, the California State Assembly held a special ceremony to honor the survivors of the Holocaust and all those who helped them. Yoka Brouwer, a resident of Desert Hot Springs who was just a small child when the Nazi’s begin rounding up Jewish people, was the guest of Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) for the Holocaust Remembrance ceremony. “We’re happy to be able to have her here, along with 79 other individuals, being recognized by our colleagues so we always remember the tragic loss life in the holocaust,” said Assemblymember Garcia.
