(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) delivered a passionate speech on his legislative proposal (Assembly Bill 398) to reduce air and carbon pollution when he presented the measure to the full State Assembly. Assemblymember Garcia says AB 398 and Assembly Bill 617, authored by Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia (D-Bell Garden), will create a statewide climate action plan and program to meet our emission reduction mandate, ensure economic prosperity and address critical health and air quality concerns. Assemblymember Garcia told his fellow lawmakers, “I am proud to join Governor Brown, Senate President pro Tempore Kevin de León and Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon in affirming our unwavering climate commitment and determination to work toward an agreement that would benefit both California’s economy and our environment.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
