(Heber, CA) – Led by Assemblymembers Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) and Cristina Garcia (D-Bell Gardens), the Assembly Committee on Natural Resources and the Joint Legislative Committee on Climate Change Policies conducted a special tour and hearing to learn about and discuss the unique air quality challenges – including those created by the Salton Sea – that exist in the border region. After touring multiple sites throughout the region, the Committee brought in experts to discuss what’s being done today and what additional measures are needed to keep the air clean. Check out this Assembly Access video to see what they saw on the tour and what was said at the hearing.
