This momentous funding allocation for park projects in the Coachella Valley and Imperial County was made possible through Proposition 68, State of California Parks and Water Bond 2018, authored by Assemblymember Garcia (SB 5, 2017).

(Imperial, CA) – Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) is pleased to announce that Imperial County will be receiving a total of $1,142,301 from the California Department of Housing and Community Development's Community Development Block Grant Program, Coronavirus Response. These distributed funds would support the County of Imperial’s food voucher, and mortgage and utility payment programs as well as small business assistance, fire station repairs, and sanitation infrastructure for the City of Calexico.
